    However, the focus of the Living Books approach to History - is reading excellent literature, living non-fiction and fiction books, poetry and drama. We keep a History Book (which is an A3 visual arts Diary) and all their narrations, drawings, photos of projects and so on, go into this large book which covers a specific time-period. Very rare is it for a historical biography to be written this well. The reading of the book is fluid and draws the reader in very well. Whitfield is not only a great historian, but writer as well and a joy to read. This is a wonderful collection of stories about people who have been promenant in church history. I wasn't sure how it would all be presented in the first books, but found that the authors simply presented events from church history without really taking sides.
